My pants are too tight

I am not very happy. My pants are too tight.
This has to change. It will change now.

Goals

I just realized that I have been blogging away about my workouts and what I eat every day but not about WHY. In December of 2008 I decided to participate in the Tight Curves Transformation Challenge. When Carlene first mentioned the Challenge I was intrigued. She knew I would be. I had worked really hard about six years ago and lost my flab and built some muscle and really felt good and looked good, but then I stopped working out as hard because I thought I could just maintain my fitness. Wrong! I started getting flabby again and my strength diminished greatly. To make matters worse I have been self-employed for 5 years and lost that great 8 to 5 schedule I was on. Working all day and into the night is no way to take care of your fitness. So because of the time limit and the need to put time, effort and energy into the Challenge I jumped at the chance when Carlene asked. I got back into that not-so-fluffy shape I once was in just in time to celebrate my 43rd birthday. The Challenge ended on February 28th, 2009 and I participated in the extended Challenge that ended in May 2009. My results were awesome! But then I hit a speed bump...Start following my renewed commitment to fitness in July 2012.

Check back often to see my results and make sure I am still on target for me goal: To be in the best shape I can possibly be in by decreasing my body fat percentage, building muscle and increasing my lean body mass. It's going to take a lot of hard work...hours of cardio...hours of weight training...no sweets, no snacks, no brewskis or margaritas {well, maybe a few!}...but man, it is so going to be worth it!!!!
